After the motion raised by Danburan Nuhu (Kano-APC), The House of Representatives has called on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB to extend its registration deadline for the registration of 2017 UTME.
JAMB had earlier stated that it has no plans of extending the registration deadline.

Mr. Nuhu on his speech elaborated that during the 2016 UTME exercise that, about 1.6 million applicants registered for the UTME and about one million passed. He stated that the 2017 exercise might reach 2 million across the country given the growing number of applicants.
He noted that some of the approved registration centres are registering only 250 applicants at a time; most of them do not have enough space and adequate number of computers.

The motion was unanimously adopted by the House and the committee on basic education was mandated to direct JAMB to comply with the resolutions.
Lets see if jamb will submit to this order of extending registration deadline for 2017 jamb
